Happy Fall!  With the cooler weather and beautiful fall colors upon us, we have lots of exciting news to share with our families!

First, DuPont Tyler Middle School was recently recognized by the Nashville Chamber of Commerce for outstanding achievement on TCAP standardized testing.  The school received two awards.  One award was for being in “Good Standing” with the state of Tennessee. The other award was for the tremendous amount of growth and improvement our students have shown over a comparison of TCAP scores from one year to another.  I’m sure you will agree with me when I say that our school could not have this top-notch track record without the hard work and dedication of our faculty and staff.  They are among the best in this district!

Second, our fall sports are in full swing.  Volleyball, girls’ soccer, football, and cheerleading are off to an awesome start.  Our athletic schedules are posted on the front doors of our school and also on our website.  Please come out and support your BULLDOGS!  Admission to volleyball and soccer games is only $2.00.  Admission to football games is only $3.00.  All gate proceeds go directly to purchasing equipment and supplies for our student athletes.

Third, we have a great deal of exciting events in the works for our families.  We are busy planning these events and hope you will be very interested in attending—“Girls Night Out” for our female students, a “cyberbullying” parent forum led by a local expert on the topic, “Brown Bag” parent info sessions, and a family celebration of our school’s TCAP achievement just to name a few!  As more information becomes available, we will send home flyers with students and post details on our website.

Thank you for your continued support of our school.  GO BULLDOGS!
